Buspirone may cause you to have an upset stomach, so take it with food or milk. Use this medication only as prescribed; never take more or use it more often. Within seven to ten days of beginning on Buspirone, you should feel a difference. It will be between three and four weeks before you feel the full effects of the prescription. |

Taking Buspirone can cause dizziness, fatigue, weakness, vivid dreams, sleeplessness, weight gain, drowsiness, dry skin, lightheadedness, blurred vision, altered sense of taste and smell, muscle aches, ringing in the ears, nausea, headaches. If these symptoms continue or are bothersome, talk to your doctor about it. Call your doctor if you have involuntary movements or tremors, abnormal movements or "twitches" of the face or neck muscles, depression, confusion, chest pain, in coordination, or breathing difficulties. If you have other side effects not listed above, call your doctor or pharmacist. |

Use caution when driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardous activities. Although unlikely, it is possible that you will experience some drowsiness or dizziness at the start of therapy with Buspar. If you experience dizziness or drowsiness, avoid these activities. Use alcohol cautiously. Alcohol may increase drowsiness and dizziness while you are taking Buspar. |

Buspirone Drug Interactions? |

Buspirone may increase the effects of other drugs that cause drowsiness, including antidepressants, antihistamines, sedatives (used to treat insomnia), pain relievers, anxiety medicines, and muscle relaxants. Tell your doctor about all medicines that you are taking, and do not take any prescription or over-the-counter medicine without first talking to your doctor. Grapefruit and grapefruit juice may interact with Buspirone. The interaction could lead to potentially adverse effects. You should discuss the use of grapefruit and grapefruit juice with your doctor. Do not increase or decrease the amount of grapefruit products in your diet without first talking to your doctor. |

Buspirone Missed Dose? |

Take Buspirone according to instructions, and take a missed dose when you realize it, and then resume your normal dosing schedule the next day. Do not double dose. |
