Didrex is prescribed a couple different ways. If your doctor prescribes one dose a day, take it in the morning, about 30 minutes before you eat breakfast. If you are prescribed Didrex more than once each day, the last round needs to be taken long enough before going bed to keep from interrupting sleep, at least 4 to 6 hours. |

If this Didrex is taken during pregnancy, or becomes pregnant while taking this medication, the patient should be apprised of the potential hazard to the fetus. Didrex is also excreted in breast milk. Do not breast feed while taking Didrex. Doctors recommended that you do not take Didrex if you are pregnant.
Symptoms of overdose may include restlessness, tremor, and rapid breathing, confusion, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach cramps. If you think you might have overdosed, contact your local poison control center or emergency room ASAP.
Didrex is not recommended for individuals with advanced arteriosclerosis, symptomatic cardiovascular disease, moderate to severe hypertension, hyper-thyroidism, known hypersensitivity or idiosyncrasy to sympathomimetic amines, and glaucoma. Benzphetamine should not be given to patients who are in a frantic state or anyone that has a history of drug abuse. |
