Shake well before each use. Prime the spray pump as instructed by your pharmacist. Use as directed, generally two sprays in each nostril daily. Do not use this drug more often or longer than prescribed. Use this drug regularly during the prescribed treatment period for full benefit. If the drug is used for seasonal allergy, therapy is best started 2-4 weeks before the season. Improvement in symptoms occurs generally within 2 days and full benefit occurs after 1-2 weeks of use. |

Nasonex Side Effects? |

The most common side effects associated with Nasonex include headaches or sore throat. Notify your doctor if these do not go away. Rare side effects that require immediate attention include nausea, unusual nasal bleeding or irritation/pain, vision changes, blood-tinged mucus/phlegm, weight loss, unusual increase in thirst or urination, or weakness. It's possible to experience allergic reactions while taking Nasonex, and symptoms include dizziness, rash, trouble breathing, itching, or swelling. Talk to your pharmacist or doctor if you have side effects not listed here. |

When getting a Nasonex prescription, you will need to share your medical history with your doctor. He or she should know about any allergies, other nasal problems, current infections, cataracts, or glaucoma. Use caution and avoid measles or chicken pox exposure, and call your doctor if you think you might have been exposed to either. Some patients have had Nasonex absorbved into their blood. This complication requires additional treatments with corticosteroids. It's more likely to occur among those who've used Nasonex for a long time, children, or those with an injury, recent surgery, or major infection. If you are considering using Nasonex for your child, talk to the pediatrician about it first. This medication can affect their growth pattern. Check with your doctor before taking Nasonex while pregnant, and do not take it while nursing. Nasonex is passed in breast milk. |
