THIS MEDICINE MAY BE TAKEN on an empty stomach or with food. Side effects you may experience while taking this medicine include drowsiness, dizziness, and constipation. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE IF you develop a skin rash, itching, confusion, changes in mood or behavior, hallucinations, dark urine or pale stools, yellowing of the skin or eyes, or unusual tiredness. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY IF you experience seizures, difficulty breathing or swallowing, or swelling of face or mouth. Store this medicine at room temperature in a tightly closed container away from heat and light. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE and you are taking it regularly, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. DO NOT TAKE TWO DOSES AT ONCE. If your symptoms do not improve or become worse, check with your doctor. |

DO NOT TAKE ULTRACET if you are also taking carbamazepine, cyclobenzaprine, an amphetamine, opiate analgesic, tricyclic antidepressant, serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI), promethazine, or medicine for appetite suppression, sleep, or a nervous, mood, or behavior condition. ADDITIONAL MONITORING OF YOUR DOSE OR CONDITIONS may be needed if you are taking isoniazid, guanidine, or an oral anticoagulant. |

Ultracet Warnings? |

Anyone with specific drug allergies should not use Ultracet, including allergies to hydrocodone, dihydrocodeine, codeine, oxycodone (such as Tylox, Tylenol with Codeine, Vicodin). Allergic symptoms include a severe rash, hives, breathing difficulties, or dizziness. If you have tightness of chest, swelling of eyelids, face, or lips, difficulty breathing, or if you develop a rash or hives, contact your doctor immediately. Stop taking Ultracet unless your doctor advises you otherwise. Do not use more Ultracet than has been prescribed, or take it for longer. Ultracet may become habit forming. Do not consume alcohol while you take this drug. Ultracet has acetaminophen in it. You should not take any other products which also contain acetaminophen. Be careful when getting up from sitting or lying down if you feel dizzy. Let your doctor know that you are using Ultracet if you are planning any surgery or dental surgery. If you feel that you are experiencing withdrawal symptoms, such as nervousness, tremor, sweating, nausea, diarrhea, or trouble sleeping, talk to your doctor.
Talk to your doctor about safe Ultracet usage if you want to become pregnant. Breastfeeding women should not use Ultracet, since this drug is excreted in breast milk. |

Ultracet Drug Interactions? |

Some people are not able to take acetaminophen or tramadol, while others may need adjusted doses and extra monitoring while using Ultracet. You should not take other products that also contain acetaminophen while using this medication. Examples include Tylenol, pain relievers, cold and flu medicines, and others. Taking too much acetaminophen is dangerous. Do not use sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, or antihistamines unless your doctor approves of them. Acetaminophen and tramadol may make you feel drowsy, and these medicines can make it worse. |

Ultracet Missed Dose? |

Ultracet is used as needed, so missing a dose is not possible. Take each dose when you need it, and do not take any more until the time limit set by your doctor has passed. Never take a double dose of Ultracet. |

Store it at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture. Keep this and all medications out of the reach of children. |
