Vaniqa Cream Uses? |

Vaniqa (pronounced "VAN-i-ka") medication will make unwanted facial hair grow more slowly. It does this by limiting an enzyme that is required for hair growth. The prescription will not remove hair or stop new hair from growing.
Hair removal will still be necessary while using Vaniqa. However, it will make the growth of unwanted facial hair more manageable, and help your appearance. |

Vaniqa Cream Directions? |

Smooth a thin layer of Vaniqa on the areas where you have unwanted hair growth and gently rub it into the skin. Do not wash treated areas for at least four hours after applying Vaniqa. Read the provided instructions and follow them carefully.
You can use Vaniqa twice a day. It should be applied eight hours apart. Your doctor may provide different instructions. Vaniqa should only be used externally.
Continue your normal hair removal routine until Vaniqa takes full effect. You will then have to spend less time in hair removal, and do it less frequently.
You can expect to continue using your usual cosmetic products while using Vaniqa, but you should wait until the medication has completely soaked in before applying anything else to your face. |

Vaniqa may cause temporary redness, rash, burning, stinging or tingling, especially when the skin is damaged. If irritation continues, stop use of Vaniqa and contact your doctor. Avoid getting the medication in your eyes or inside your nose or mouth. If the product gets in your eyes, rinse thoroughly with water and contact your doctor. |

Vaniqa can be used on all skin types and is for women who are bothered by unwanted hair around the lips and under the chin. It should not be used if you are less than 12 years old. If you are allergic to any of the ingredients, tell your doctor. Vaniqa also contains ceteareth-20, cetearyl alcohol, dimethicone, glyceryl stearate, methylparaben, mineral oil, PEG-bO stearate, phenoxyethanol, propylparaben, stearyl alcohol and water.
If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, discuss with your doctor whether you should use it during pregnancy. No clinical studies have been performed in pregnant women. You should not use Vaniqa if you are less than 12 years of age.
If you are breast-feeding, consult your doctor before using Vaniqa. It is not known if Vaniqa is passed to infants through breast milk. |

Store Vaniqa at room temperature, which is 59-86 degrees (15-30 C). Do not allow it to freeze. |

Anything Else I Should Know About Vaniqa Cream? |

Vaniqa is the first medication proven to work in slowing the growth of women's unwanted facial hair. This means you can spend less time removing unwanted hair. Using fragrance-free Vaniqa cream won't remove existing hair. Although hair growth will be limited, you will still need to continue your regular hair removal techniques. Vaniqa should only be used externally.
The improvement caused by Vaniqa treatment will appear gradually. Be patient if you don't see quick results. Most women begin seeing an improvement within four to eight weeks. It may take longer for some women.
If you don't see any difference after six months, discontinue use of Vaniqa. Your hair will return to its previous condition within eight weeks.
Don't let other use your Vaniqa cream or give them your medication. Keep it away from children. |
